SHOUT-OUT TO YOU ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE! They have English speaking staff so I would suggest you call them for a booking, go local avoid mainstream! First things first my experience: the process was seamless, I contacted them via phone and requested an idea of the prices, then via email they asked me for some documents and a small deposit (30/130€). Once there the staff was very friendly and I quickly got the car (a C3 produced by Citroen that was in mint conditions) and drove off after paying the remaining sum in cash (they do accept cards in any case) During my two day hire I also asked for some help via phone on where to park and they were very helpful: I found a free parking spot which was actually one they themselves use. I then asked them if I could give the car back early and they sorted this out rapidly. Lastly before giving the car back I forgot to bring the petrol levels back to the level I got at and this was very kindly waived by the owner. This said the business owner, Francesco, is one of a kind: he self started the company (with no external funding) and happens to be the kind of business owner who listens to customers. You can clearly see that the company is not focused on trying to extort money from customers for very minor things (I.e scratches or a moderately lower level of petrol) but rather focuses on trying to offer a good service at a reasonable price. He also seeks to have returning customers and build trust with his customer base. His wife is focused on the sales side of the business and has been welcoming and friendly. During my time she has been in charge of setting up payments and paper work. She most likely will welcome new customers at the office. I paid cash for the most part. The employee I met, Francesco, was also nice and reliable. He gave me some tips on where to go and what to do during my time in the area. He suggested in particular a special place for cannoli which I can confirm is great. He is in charge of checking the car at check in and check out: he suggested to take pictures especially of the petrol level and the exterior conditions of the car. I did take pictures but the paper work was already very precise on where the car had some minor scratches. At this stage I would suggest you take pictures in his presence and take your time to check the paperwork is correct and scratches or dents match what is noted down. They ofc rent bikes and mopeds (scooters) but I did not use this service. Best of luck guys!
Just tired to rent a bike for an evening ride to Sale de Trapany. No one there speaks any English, but we agreed somehow for a price with 1€ discount and conditions of return. Wanted to pay by card but they said - it’s extra commission for them so only cash. Agreed that I will bring cash when I return the bike tomorrow morning, but when I was ready to go - he stated demanding me to pay now… (changed his mind?), with emotions he crumpled the scan of my document that was made as a deal, put the bike back inside and refused to give it to me with emotions and no explanations 🤷🏼♀️😅. I asked “why”? - got no answer 🤷🏼♀️ then I took their business card with address from the table and said that I will write a review, he rushed to me, started shouting and snatching the card from my hands… I got scared 😱 and ran out of the shop… it was crazy! How such an unstable and emotional person can work with the tourists and with people in general? He was so furious and almost ready to strike me. Look at his face on the foto, it is scary((( 😕 This is 1st time I had any problem on Sicily ever 🙄😱😕
